Spanish beaches are the most environmentally healthy in Europe, according to the Foundation for Environmental Education which has awarded the much-coveted Blue Flag on many of the country’s beaches. Spain came out top of all of Europe and leading the way within Spain itself was the Costa Blanca.
There are numerous excellent local beaches close to the property, the following are the best local beaches, times given are to drive, most are not difficult to park at, most of the time:
- Campoamor – 5 mins
- Cabo Roig – 5 mins
- Playa Flaminca – 10 mins
- La Zenia – 10 mins (water sports beach)
- Mil Palmeras – 10 mins (good restaurants)
- Torrevieja beaches – 15 mins
- Mar Menor (inland sea) – 15 mins
- Guardamer – 20 mins
